How to choose the appropriate type of scaffolding?

Select based on project type and building height
Low rise/multi story buildings (≤ 10 floors): Priority should be given to floor type fasteners/bowl type steel pipe scaffolding, which has low cost and stability to meet requirements; If it is for indoor decoration or small-scale masonry operations, portal scaffolding or inner scaffolding can be used for easy installation and dismantling.
High rise buildings (10-30 floors): It is recommended to use cantilevered steel pipe scaffolding for construction of the middle and above floors, which does not require occupying ground space and avoids the safety risks of excessive installation of the floor frame; External wall decoration can be paired with aluminum alloy scaffolding, which is lightweight and easy to transport.
Super high-rise buildings (>30 floors): The preferred choice is the attached lifting scaffold (climbing frame), which can be lifted and lowered according to the construction progress, greatly saving the amount of materials such as steel pipes and fasteners, and has a high degree of automation, which can reduce the risk of high-altitude operations.
Select based on the conditions of the construction site
The ground is flat and obstacle free: suitable for setting up floor standing scaffolding, with simple foundation treatment and controllable cost.
The ground cannot bear weight, there are obstacles (such as basement ceilings, municipal roads), or the site is narrow: cantilever scaffolding is used to transfer the load to the main structure of the building through steel cantilever beams.
Wet and corrosive environments (such as beaches and chemical plants): Aluminum alloy scaffolding is preferred as it has better corrosion resistance than steel pipe scaffolding; If steel pipe scaffolding is used, rust prevention treatment should be done well.
Select based on the workload requirements of the task
Ordinary homework (masonry, plastering, load ≤ 3kN/㎡): Both portal scaffolding and coupler type steel pipe scaffolding can meet the requirements.
Heavy load operations (concrete pouring, installation of heavy equipment, load>3kN/㎡): Bowl buckle steel pipe scaffolding or heavy-duty coupler steel pipe scaffolding must be selected, with firm node connections and stronger overall bearing capacity, and must be strictly erected according to the special plan.
Choose based on cost, efficiency, and turnover requirements
Short term temporary tasks (such as billboard installation and minor repairs): Choose portable aluminum alloy scaffolding or foldable scaffolding, which can be quickly assembled and disassembled without requiring a large amount of manual labor.
Long term construction and multiple turnover use: choose steel pipe scaffolding (clip type/bowl clip type), with good durability and low single amortization cost; If we pursue construction efficiency, bowl buckle type is better than clip type, nodes do not need to be manually tightened, and the speed is increased by more than 30%.
