What are the common types of scaffolding?

Floor standing scaffolding: directly erected from the ground (or floor slab), with a base plate and base set at the bottom, vertical uprights and horizontal crossbars forming a whole frame, and diagonal braces on the outside to enhance stability. It is suitable for exterior wall construction of low rise and multi story buildings.
Suspended scaffolding: Fixed to the building structure by steel cantilever beams, the scaffolding is erected on the cantilever beams without the need for ground support. It is suitable for middle and upper level construction in high-rise buildings, or in situations where scaffolding cannot be erected on the ground.
Attachment type lifting scaffold: also known as "climbing scaffold", attached to the exterior wall of the building through hydraulic or electric lifting system, can be lifted and lowered as a whole according to the construction progress, with the characteristics of high automation, material saving, and strong safety. It is the mainstream type of scaffold for super high-rise buildings.
Portal scaffolding: assembled from prefabricated components such as portal frames, cross supports, and scaffold boards, it has fast installation speed and good overall integrity. It is commonly used for non load bearing operations such as indoor decoration and mechanical and electrical installation, or as temporary passages and grandstand supports.
Bowl buckle type steel pipe scaffold: The rod joints are connected in a bowl buckle type, which is firm and structurally stable. There is no problem of missing fasteners, and the installation efficiency is higher than that of the fastener type. It is suitable for large-scale and high load construction scenarios.
Fastener type steel pipe scaffold: It is composed of steel pipes and fasteners (right angle, rotary, and butt fasteners), which are flexible in connection and can adapt to complex building shapes. However, the installation speed is slow and requires high operational skills from workers.
