Strictly control the quality of materials entering the site
The appearance of the steel support components entering the site must be inspected, and the use of steel with rust, bending, cracks, and weld defects is strictly prohibited; Accessories such as flexible connectors, flanges, bolts, etc. must match the specifications and be free from deformation and damage to avoid connection failure due to material defects.
Ensure installation accuracy
The horizontal steel support axis should be vertically aligned with the enclosure structure (underground continuous wall, row pile), and steel or concrete pads should be used to fill the gap between the support end and the enclosure wall, without leaving any gaps, to prevent uneven stress.
After the installation of the support, pre axial force should be applied through a jack, and the pre force value should reach 70% to 100% of the design value, so that the support can participate in the force in advance, offset some of the soil deformation pressure, and avoid instability caused by sudden load increases in the later stage.
The vertical deviation of the vertical steel support should be controlled within 1/1000, and the bottom pad should be flat and firm to prevent settlement from causing the support to tilt.
Strengthen node connection strength
When connecting flanges, the bolts should be tightened symmetrically to ensure that each bolt is evenly stressed; The welding nodes need to be fully welded, and the height and length of the weld seam should meet the design requirements. After welding, non-destructive testing should be carried out.
The connection between the horizontal steel support and the purlin should be firm. As a force transmitting component, the purlin should be closely attached to the enclosure structure to avoid ineffective transmission of support force.
Set up measures to prevent falling and lateral movement
The horizontal steel support in the foundation pit needs to be equipped with bottom steel wire ropes or steel brackets below to prevent the support from falling off; At the same time, limit blocks are installed on both sides of the support to restrict horizontal displacement.
